Int'l Red Cross Warehouses Hit in Kabul Air Raid Friday October 26 8:57 AM ET ISLAMABAD (Reuters) - Three warehouses of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) were on fire after being hit in a U.S. attack on the Afghan capital Kabul on Friday, an ICRC spokesman said. ``It has happened again. At 11:30 a.m. huge explosions took place and three of our warehouses are on fire now,'' ICRC spokesman Mario Musa told Reuters. He said he had no immediate report of casualties but being a Friday holiday he expected very few people to be in the warehouses. U.S. bombs had hit ICRC warehouses in Kabul on October 16 as well. Musa said the warehouses had essential food supplies, tents, tarpaulins, blankets and other aid supplies intended for the impoverished people of Kabul. |
