Ivanov stressed that "the future government should enjoy a broad international support." "It is also necessary for the Afghanistan leadership to pursue a policy facilitating the revival of peaceful life in the country so as to secure that no terrorist threats come to other countries from the territory of the state of Afghanistan," said he. The Russian foreign minister also said that "together with other countries acting under the U.N. aegis, Russia will assist in finding precisely this political solution in Afghanistan." |
