No Pakistan-Taliban border clash: Envoy
Islamabad, Oct 10, IRNA - Taliban Wednesday said there has been no clash between Taliban soldiers and Pakistan's para-military troops along the Pak-Afghan border.

"Press reports about the exchange of fire between Taliban and Pakistani troops are based on white lie and is demonstrative of the prejudice," Taliban envoy to Pakistan Mulla Abdul Salam Zaeef told a news conference.

Zaeef criticized the U.S for dropping food aid to Afghans, saying Afghans are destroying American food instead of eating them as they would not bargain on their religion.

"Americans think they will win over the freedom-loving Afghans by dropping foods. But the Afghans know it is not generosity but hypocrite diplomacy," the envoy said.

"Common people in Logar and Khost provinces and other parts of Afghanistan set on fire foods drooped by American planes," Zaeef said.

He said America would not be able to purchase the Afghans by money or food.

He termed it as failed experience and said it would not work particularly the valiant Afghans would not be ready to take the foods that are being dropped by their worst enemy.

He said that American terrorists attacks are continuing against Afghanistan. "The White House Administration has been playing a role of global policeman but would have to suffer humiliation for its rascality," the envoy said.

"After the disintegration of the former Soviet Union, the United States assumed the shape of the only super power of the world and now it wants to see governments of its like in sovereign states for this is using all crude attempt," he remarked.

He said that Afghanistan is the first victim of this expansionist plan of the United States. "Through leveling charges of harboring so-called terrorism, America wants to replace the sitting government in Afghanistan and install former King Zahir Shah on the saddle of power."

"Washington is carrying out brutal attacks on our military and civilian sites to achieve this end. It has sparked off the fury of not only the Muslim people of Afghanistan but also of all Islamic world and other justice and freedom-loving people in the world. These people are supporting us with deep down their cores," the envoy claimed.

He said that reports of civilian causalities are pouring in but it is not yet clear as to what number of people have fallen victims to these brutal attacks.

He claimed that, as the casualities of the civilian will increase, so does the fury and hatred of the people multiply against this unjustified invasion.

"We appreciate the Islamic feelings and support shown by all Muslims of the world with the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan. They know America has unleashed unprecedented oppression and atrocity against our country," he said.

Washington is relying on its military might, technology and political influence and thinks to win the war, he said, adding, "But it is ignorant of the fact that war is not won merely by material things.

"Our past history speaks for our strong will and determination," Zaeef hoped.

He emphatically said that claims about advance of Northern Alliances are nothing but a lie and claimed that people hate the Alliance men as they are siding with those who are out to ruin Afghanistan.
