Taliban claim B-52 bomber crashed and not a helicopter Islamabad, Nov. 6,IRNA -- Taliban's Islamabad-based envoy has claimed that a B-52 bomber had crashed in Pakistan and not a helicopter. Talking to"IRNA' here Tuesday Mullah Abdul Salam Zaeef said", according to our information, a B-52 bomber plane had crashed and not a helicopter". He continued that all the crew members on board the plane were also killed. The Taliban envoy said that so far as many as 8 US helicopters and planes had crashed since the launch of US-led operation inside Afganistan. However, he could not confirm the exact cause of plane crash. "We are trying to find out the exact cause of its crash but at the moment, I can't say anything more about it," he remarked. The plane as reported by Taliban crashed in Balochistan's Chaghi mountains Tuesday morning, killing four US military personnel. |
