Afghans express gratitude for RCS support

The UAE Red Crescent Society's (RCS) support for Afghan refugees has been praised by a visiting delegation of the Afghanistan Red Crescent Society.

Saeed Abdullah Muhajer, head of the Afghanistan RCS, expressed his gratitude to President His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan for his continuous humanitarian support for Afghan refugees.

"I would like to express my gratitude for the grant provided by General Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Minister of Defence, for the Afghan refugees. The grant included 1,500 tents and 27,500 blankets which were distributed recently to the refugees at their camps in Rawda Bagh, Maslak, Maimana and Galosy areas in Afghanistan.

"I would also like to express my appreciation for the continuous follow-up of Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Chairman of RCS, who is keen on alleviating the Afghans' situation which is a result of continuous disputes taking place in their homeland," he added.
