Afghanistan Wants Its Students To Work Here And Study
Malaysian National News Agency
KUALA LUMPUR, June 19 (Bernama) -- Afghanistan's Acting Foreign Minister Dr A.Abdullah Tuesday expressed the hope that its students at the International Islamic University of Malaysia (IIUM) will be given the opportunity to work and t the same time continue with their studies.

He expressed this hope during his talks with Education Minister Tan Sri Musa Mohamed at the Education Ministry here.

Musa told Bernama that Dr Abdullah felt that the Afghan students could use their income from their work to pay for their studies at the IIUM.

According to Abdullah most of the Afghan students studying for their first degrees at the IIUM came from poor families and their country's economy had also stagnated from years of civil war, he said.--BERNAMA
