Tax waived on export to CARs, Afghanistan - Jang/The news

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has waived sales tax on export of cement, rice, pharmaceuticals, glass sheets, GI pipes and hardware items to Central Asian Republics (CARs) and Afghanistan. The exemption of tax came here Monday through a Central Board of Revenue notification No 356, dated June 11, 2001.

This notification provides that the tax exemption would be available on exports through land route, Afghanistan territory. The waiver would not be available on items produced in manufacturing bonds.
