Pakistan plans counteract UN sanctions - BBC The Pakistan government has said it will do its best to mitigate the effects of the new United Nations sanctions imposed on the Taleban administration in Afghanistan. The Pakistani Foreign Minister, Abdus Sattar, told state television the government would work with the Taleban to reduce the pressures put on the people of Afghanistan.
