Saudi govt to send sacrificial meat for Afghans

PESHAWAR (Online)­Saudi government will send approximately 25,000 kgs sacrificial meat to Pakistan for Afghan refugees soon after Eid-ul-Azha. The meat will be distributed among those Afghan refugees who recently migrated to Pakistan from northern parts of the war-ravaged country.
Official sources informed that NWFP Afghan Commissionarate has completed arrangements for transportation and distribution of sacrificial meat. They said that 10,000 slaughtered animals would be transported from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia through Pakistan International Airline cargo plane to Peshawar.
The consignment will be shifted to Shamshato and Jalozai refugee camps, situated in the outskirts of the provincial capital, after examination.
More than 100,000 registered and unregistered refugees have been settled in these two camps. Saudi authorities send sacrificial meat to refugees in Pakistan since Russian invasion in Afghanistan.
