UN takes up issue of arrested aid workers with Taliban Islamabad, Aug 7, IRNA - The United Nations has took up the matter of arrest of 24 humanitarian aid workers of an international NGO with Taliban officials and conveyed its serious concern over it. "Taliban told us that a review of the case against arrested foreigners is underway and is expected to be completed within a few days", Eliane Duthoit, the UN regional Coordinator based in Kabul said in a statement issued in Islamabad Tuesday evening. |
