14,000 Afghan families seek asylum in Pakistan The news Jang GENEVA: Nearly 14,000 Afghan families in refugee camps are seeking asylum in Pakistan, the United Nations refugee agency (UNHCR) said Tuesday. The families have registered for screening programmes in the Nasir Bagh and Jalozai camps near the city of Peshawar, said Kris Janowski, spokesman for the UN High Commissioner for Refugees. |
