Loya Jirga to be held in opposition area

ISLAMABAD (Agencies): The Rome Peace Process would hold emergency ėLoya Jirgaķ (grand assembly) in the opposition northern alliance controlled area inside Afghanistan in the near future, reports Radio Tehran.An official of the Rome Peace Process, who did not want to be named, said that the emergency ėLoya Jirgaķ would be held in Charikar or Gul Bahar in Afghanistan in the near future.

A delegation of the Rome Process held talks with the officials of the United Front in London and the two sides reportedly agreed after talks to convene the Loya Jirga in the United Front controlled area.

Meanwhile, another source told that the US government has allocated three hundred million dollars for the holding of Loya Jirga through Rome Peace Process.

If they Loya Jirga is held, the amount would be handed over to the members of the Jirga.

Meanwhile, another source told the Radio that the United States (US) government has earmarked $300 million for the holding of Loya Jirga through Rome Peace Process.

If the Loya Jirga(Grand assembly) is held, the amount would be handed over to its members, the broadcast said.
