No hurdle to construction of Iran-India gas pipeline: Pak minister Islamabad, Sept. 7, IRNA -- The Pakistani Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources, Usman Aminuddin on Thursday said there was no hurdle from the Pakistan side to the construction of Iran-India gas pipeline. Usman Aminuddin was quoted by APP and Radio Pakistan as saying that Pakistan had responded positively to the request of the Iranian government for the gas pipeline. He said Pakistan also considered the project as favorable to its own interests. Usman said Pakistan had shown its willingness to remove the concerns of the Indian government regarding the security of the pipeline. He said Pakistan's present government was giving top priorities to enhancement of cooperation with regional countries for development of oil and gas sector. |
