Over 100 Afghans sent back

..........ISLAMABAD (November 2) : Pakistan has sent back more than 100 Afghan refugees who had crossed into Pakistan via Chaman, reports Radio Tehran.

..........The broadcast said that forces at Chaman border town arrested 109 Uzbek refugees of northern Afghanistan and sent them back to Afghanistan.

..........Authorities have also captured the bus and its driver for taking the refugees to Pakistan. The bus driver Abdul Khaliq is being questioned. Thousands of Afghan families have recently migrated to Pakistan from northern Afghanistan to escape fighting and economic hardships.

..........Hundreds of Afghan refugees are daily entering Pakistan via Torkham but it is not known as to why the Pakistan authorities have blocked the arrival of the Afghan refugees in south-western zone via Chaman.-NNI
