Taliban, opposition swap POWs

ISLAMABAD (NNI): Taliban and opposition Northern Alliance have exchanged six prisoners of war each in western Afghan province of Heart.

Taliban released six commander of the alliance jailed in Kandahar prison in exchange for the release of six Taliban commanders and prisoners, reports Radio Tehran.

The released commanders of the Northern Alliance have been identified as Mulla Abdul Jabbar, Mohammad Akbar, Najibullah, Sufi Mohammad, Mohammad Omar and Mohammad Musa. The Taliban commanders include Din Mohammad, Saleh Mohammad, Mulla Agha, Abdul Qadir, Abdul Hakeem and Allah Dad.
