Taliban for complete poppy eradication

ISLAMABAD (NNI): Taliban have directed district chiefs and other officials to strictly pursue and get implemented in letter and spirit the edict of their supreme leader Mulla Muhammad Omar about poppy eradication.

The Economic Advisor of the Council of Ministers and Administrator of Eastern Zone, Maulvi Abdul Kabeer met district chiefs of Nangarhar province and discussed the issue with them.

He said that poppy eradication at different parts of the country is the result of the untiring efforts of the district chiefs and officials of the Islamic Emirate. He urged the district chiefs to expand their operations so that nobody is able to resort to poppy cultivation in any part of the country.

The district chiefs pledged that they would leave no stone unturned to ensure the implementation of the decree of their supreme leader on poppy eradication.
