Kabul-Torkham highway construction work suspended

ISLAMABAD (NNI): Construction work on Kabul-Torkham Highway has been suspended due to Talibans economic problems, reports Radio Tehran.

A source in Pakistan quoted Taliban sources as saying that the construction of 250 kilometers long highway connecting Pakistani border area to Torkham with Kabul would cost Rs 800 million had been built by a German company 37 years ago is an important economic route between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
