Foreign interests in Afghanistan enhance their activities

PESHAWAR, June 15 (Frontier Post) - Large-scale movement of spies has been reported from inside Afghanistan heralding hectic political activity in the troubled country in near future. These developments have especially acquired greater significance because of the reports of collusion between United States and Russia for destabilising Taliban government and apprehending Osama. According to the well-informed sources the Arab spies working for the United States and other interests have intensified their activities. One of the close aides of Osama bin Laden has been quoted as hinting at further strengthening the security of Osama bin Laden in view of the enhanced activities by anti Osama circles.

At present Osama has a strong security contingent of 800 guard's majority of whom are Afghans and Pakistani nationals, these sources further informed. Osama recently replaced his guards as part of his efforts to ensure foolproof security. Osama is reported to be in the Ghowr province of Afghanistan where he has increased the pace of training activities at his training camps. Sources further informed this agency that Russians and Indians have stepped up their activities inside Afghanistan especially in Panjsher valley. Reports indicate that several delegations have met Ahmad Shah Masud in the last couple of days. Moreover, the United States have also developed direct contacts with Ahmad Shah Masud so as to acquire important information regarding the movements of Osama. These sources believed that United States and Russia have agreed to co-operate with each other in a bid to destabilise the Taliban government and apprehend Osama bin Laden.
