Taliban assure security to foreign diplomats ISLAMABAD (NNI): Afghanistan's ruling Taliban have assured complete security to the foreign diplomats in the Afghan capital Kabul saying the incidents like bomb blast in Pakistan embassy are no threat to security of the city. "Such incidents are not threat to the security of Kabul. It itself means that the enemy has not yet succeeded to cause any loss of life and property in the city. This is sign of tight security. Our enemy is trying to show to the foreign diplomats that security situation in Kabul is bad but they have failed in their bid and we assure all the foreign diplomats that the security would be even more tightened", Taliban spokesman Maulvi Abdul Hai Mutmaen told BBC. The Afghan Foreign Ministry has also denounced the explosion in Pakistan embassy in Kabul. The statement issued by the Ministry has lauded Pakistan for giving shelter to the Afghan during jehad. The statement said the enemies of the people of Afghanistan have all also been trying to create tension between the people of Afghanistan and Pakistan and terrorist acts were used for the purpose in the past as well. The statement has recalled the incident of setting Pakistan embassy in Kabul on fire in the past and said that the latest blast is also aimed at creating an atmosphere of terror and law and order in Kabul. The statement held the opponents responsible for the blast and violation of international norms. Mutmaen said that the incidents causing no loss of life and property would not have any importance for the press nor can harm security of the city. The blast reflects that the enemy has always tried to cause casualties and losses but has not yet succeeded in this regard, he added. "We express our concern on such type of incident in Pakistan embassy and assure them full security." Asked why such incidents take place in Kabul when Taliban claim to have restored complete security in the city, Mutmaen replied, "I think, this is a minor incident and has no importance from security point of view in such a major city. In fact, this is an attempt on the part of the enemy to tarnish the image of the Taliban and Islamic Emirate who have restored durable peace and security but they (opponents) have failed in this regard". The spokesman said that Taliban are fighting against a very big enemy which exists not only in Afghanistan but in the entire world. "The Russians are directly supporting our opponents and are fully backing them by providing them different resources. Such incidents are not astonishing in such a big enmity. However, it is fortunate that they are failure." Mutmaen criticized the world community for not condemning such open terrorist acts. "we have time and again said that the United Nations and international community have regrettably never pointed finger at our opponents for carrying out terrorist activities", he said. |
