Pakistan to help improve health sector in Afghanistan ISLAMABAD (January 5) : Afghan Ambassador to Pakistan Maulvi Syed Muhammad Haqqani called on Federal Minister for Health and Population Dr Abdul Malik Kasi here on Tuesday. ..........Matters of mutual interest and cooperation between the two countries with special reference to health sector came under discussion. ..........Afghan Ambassador informed health minister that Afghanistan needs technical/profession assistance from Pakistan in form of short training courses for their doctors, and paramedics. So that medical sector may be improved and better services be provided to the Afghan people. ..........Federal minister assured his full cooperation in this regard. ..........Morocco Ambassador Youssef Fassi Fahri also held a meeting with health minister and showed the interest in the purchase of veterinary medicines. ..........Matters related to health sector, including manufacturing and quality of drugs were also discussed. ..........A delegation of Pak-Turk NGO International Schools and Colleges headed by Halit Esendir, chairman board of governors also called on federal minister for health and informed the minister about its activities in the field of education and health especially in Central Asian States and Afghanistan. ..........Minister appreciated their spirit and remarked that there was vast potential for cooperation in the health and education sector between the two countries.--APP |
