Police collecting information about Afghan nationals in capital

ISLAMABAD (NNI): The interior ministry has started collecting information and statistics of the Afghan nationals living in the capital.

Special police teams are visiting the sectors of Islamabad where the Afghan nationals are staying. The teams checked their documents and collected information about them. Officials of the Census department were also accompanying the police teams.

The police teams are mostly concentrating on the kachi abadis of the capital, where it suspect most of the illegal Afghans are staying.

The teams have visited I-II where police say most of the illegal Afghan nationals are staying.

Police is expected to get the information and statistics verified from the Afghan Commiserate, and after that would launch operation against the illegal Afghan immigrants.

Police teams are expected to complete the task in one week. After collecting all the information, the statistics would be sent to the police stations.
