Islamic Conference to discuss Afghanistan A delegation from the Organisation of the Islamic Conference OIC is expected in Pakistan on Tuesday to discuss a solution to the civil war in Afghanistan. The mission will include representatives from Iran, Pakistan, Guinea, and Tunisia. After their talks in Pakistan, the representatives will go on to Saudi Arabia, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. An Iranian foreign ministry spokesman, Hamid Reza Asefi, quoted by the official Iranian news agency, said that President Mohammad Khatami had decided to send the delegation in his role as acting head of the OIC.
