Missing Iran envoys feared killed in Afghanistan 11:34 a.m. Sep 03, 1998 Eastern ISLAMABAD, Sept 3 (Reuters) - The human rights group Amnesty International said on Thursday that 10 Iranian diplomats and an Iranian journalist missing in northern Afghanistan since August 8 were reported to have been killed. ``Eleven Iranian nationals (10 diplomats and one journalist) are said to have been killed when Taleban (militia) guards entered the Iranian consulate in Mazar-i-Sharif,'' an Amnesty statement received by Reuters in Islamabad said. |
