Taliban order Afghan families to use Islamic names for children

KABUL, July 28 (AFP) - Afghan parents have been ordered to give new-born infants proper Islamic names in the latest edict from the hardline Moslem Taliban, official radio announced Tuesday.

MOSCOW, July 28 (AFP) - Russia on Tuesday dismissed as "completely untrue" a US newspaper report that Moscow was secretly supporting anti-Taliban guerrillas in Afghanistan.

KABUL, July 28 (Reuters) - Factions fighting to topple the Taleban from Afghanistan on Tuesday pledged to stop firing rockets at Kabul airport for two hours a day on alternate days to allow U.N. and other aid flights to land.
